Striker Jesse Were has yet again been overlooked by Kenya’s head coach Sebastian Migne.
The French coach named a 30-man provisional squad for the forthcoming AFCON 2019 tournament to be held next month in Egypt.
Were has always been snubbed by Migne despite his great form at ZESCO United in Zambia where he is also the club’s all-time leading scorer averaging 17 goals a season.
AFC Leopards defender David Ochieng “Cheche” is another notable exclusion from the team that will be captained by Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama.
Were’s Zesco teammate David “Calabar” Owino makes the cut same as Michael Olunga, Masoud Juma and Beijing Renhe’ Ayub Timbe.
The Harambee Stars are pitted in Group C alongside Senegal, Algeria and East African neighbors Tanzania.
The team will travel and camp in France before connecting to Egypt.
