Uganda Cranes kicked off the three-week camp in Abu Dhabi with their first training session on Tuesday morning.
The Cranes held a one hour session at the Sheikh Zayat stadium – Abu Dhabi Cricket Sports Complex.
The training session saw players undergo drills that involved warm ups of running and stretching.
Skipper and shot stopper Denis Onyango trained alone with goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba since other goalkeepers are expected to join the team later.
The team will return to training later in the day at 7:30pm to complete the day’s double session.
The Uganda Cranes contingent is camping at the five star Park Rotana Hotel.
Ethiopian based midfielder Kirizestom Ntambi became the latest players to join camp on Tuesday morning. Ntambi takes the players’ tally to 16 and joins Smouha’s Derrick Nsibambi who linked with the team while Cairo.
Another inclusion on the team has been in the medical department where Dr. Charles Sebwana has been introduced as a Chiropractor, a specialist who deals in bones and joints.
Uganda will play two friendly games on 9th and 15th June before trimming the squad to the required 23 before AFCON kicks off.
