1. Benjamin Ochan (Goalkeeper)

As the saying goes, experience is the best teacher. Goalkeeper Ochan joined KCCA FC on a third stint.

He previously featured for the club between 2008-09 before he returned for a second spell between 2015-18.

Ochan won two Uganda Premier League tittles (2015/16) and (2016/17) and one Uganda Cup in 2017 before leaving for Zambia’s Kabwe Warriors in 2018.

He has also previously appeared for SC Villa, SC Victoria University FC (now defunct) and Bloemfontein Celtic of South Africa and most recently AFC Leopards in Kenya.

Ochan is expected to replace Charles Lukwago, who joined St. George of Ethiopia, as the club’s first choice custodian.

2. Derrick Ochan (Goalkeeper)

The former Vipers goalkeeper reunited with his former trainer Moses Oloya at Lugogo.

He joined the Kasasiro boys after the expiration of his one year contract with Police FC.

Ochan won the 2019/20 Uganda Premier League title with Vipers SC.

He is also a 2019 FUFA Drum winner with Acholi province where he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.

He is seen as a direct replacement for Hassan Matovu who joined Soltilo Bright Stars.

3. Innocent Esimu Wafula (Right back)

Wafula joined KCCA FC from Mbarara City FC. He has previously appeared for Vipers SC and Kenyan side Gor Mahia FC.

The former Vipers defender can comfortably play both as a center back or a defensive midfielder.

He rose to the ranks from the Junior team to the senior team at Kitende where he won two Uganda Premier League tittles and one Uganda Cup during his stay.

Wasswa joined KCCA as a free agent having completed his short term contract with record champions SC Villa.

His arrival resulted into the subsequent release of youngster Samuel Kato Nemeyimana.

5. Brian Majwega (Left back)

At Lugogo, Majwega needs little or no introduction at all. Like Benjamin Ochan, he has just returned for a third stint.

He previously featured for the 13 time champions between 2009-13 before returning between 2015/17.

Majwega gathers alot of experience having previously played Maroons FC, Azam FC and URA FC among others.

He is a product of the FUFA Juniors League, Mato having featured for Lweza FC Junior Team, Maroons FC Junior Team and Proline FC Junior Team.

He was promoted to the Proline FC senior team in 2019.

His exploits in speed and agility can definitely spice up Morley Byekwaso’s attacking force.

7. Arafat Usama (Forward)

The crafty attacker garnered interest from KCCA FC during his debut season in the prestigious Masaza tournament where he scored four goals and made six assists as Busiro finished third in the most recent edition.

Usama is a product of St Mary’s Kitende and was very instrumental as Buganda Region side Kajjansi United knocked Vipers SC out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup 2020 edition on the round of 32.

The former Mbale Tigers Soccer Academy and CRO FC player put pen to paper on a four year contract.

He comes with a lot of experience having previously featured for SC Victoria University (defunct), URA FC, South African club Orlando Pirates and Ethiopian sides St George FC, Fassil Kenema, Sidama Bunna FC and Sehul Shire FC.

He also played for Busiro in the prestigious Masaza Buganda tournament.
