KCCA FC out competed, out classed and out played a hapless URA side that looked like a team already in holiday.

It’s a kind of a victory that sends a serious warning to fellow title contenders that it won’t be a walk in the park to dethrone them of their crown.

KCCA started their rout as early as the 8th minute when Muhammad Shaban pounced on a delightful delivery from Allan Okello to draw the first blood.

URA showed some flashes of brilliance, knitting some silky short passes and they finally got a result out it when Jimmy Kulaba headed in a Fred Okot corner kick delivery on 25 minutes.

With 3 minutes to the break, Muhammad Shaban restored KCCA ‘s lead with a rebound off an Isaac Kirabira’s 25 yard shot that Mathias Muwanga failed to deal with and punched back in Shaban’s way.

Allan Okello also stamped his influence on the game with 3 assists and a goal

Returning for the 2nd period, KCCA coach Mike Mutebi withdrew Jackson Nunda for Paul Mucurezi, a move that injected more pace into the game.

14 minutes later, Shaban Muhammad stamped more damage to the tax collectors by completing his hatrick and the second of this season from another spilt ball that Muwanga failed to deal with.

Substitute Paul Mucurezi also registered his name on the score sheet with a clinical finish to put the score far from URA’s reach.

Julius Poloto also had good game

Before Mucurezi’s goal sank in, Shaban Muhammad happened again with another beautiful finish, his 4th on the day and the 11th of the season, putting him only 1 goal behind Nelson Senkatuka the league top scorer.

Saidi Kyeyune pulled back an other goal for URA after a quick exchange of passes with Shafiq Kagimu on 63 minutes.

It was at this moment that every URA’s sympathiser wished for the referee to call it a day but the fourth official signalled that 4 additional minutes will have to be played.

It’s these minutes that Allan Okello used to register his name too on the sheet after delivering a hatrick of assists and finally substitute Patrick Kaddu headed in the 7th goal of the day.

The victory sends KCCA to 48 points but they remain 3rd, only one point behind leaders Vipers SC who beat Masavu 3-1 on the same day.
