Vipers SC have petitioned UPL secretariat / FUFA for Tooro United’s use of an ineligible player in their 1-0 loss at Buhinga Stadium last week.

The Kitende outfit filed a petition on 12th March claiming that Tooro United fielded a player, Kayondo Ronald (Shirt number 26) who was ineligible to feature in the contest due to accumulation of three bookings.

In their writing, the four time Uganda Premier league champions state that Kayondo was booked against Onduparaka in the 38th minute at Greenlight Stadium on January 8th and was also yellow carded against the same opponent in the second round on February 8 in the 50th minute at Buhinga.

The third yellow card was against SC Villa in the 1-1 stalemate.

Kayondo was supposed to miss the game against Police but was brought on as a substitute in the 21st minute.

In case Tooro United are found guilty, they will lose the game by Forfeiture and the points will be awarded to Vipers SC.

Vipers currently lead the Uganda Premier League log with 43 points in 20 games, they face Busoga United on Wednesday in their next game at Kitende
