2022 WOMEN AFCON QUALIFIERS: Uganda drawn against Ethiopia


The Uganda Crested Cranes have been pitted against Ethiopia in the qualifiers of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Uganda learnt their fate at the draw that was conducted on Monday afternoon at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

The winner between Uganda and Ethiopia will face either Kenya or South Sudan in the second round for a place in the final tournament.

Nigeria who are the defending champions and most successful team with nine titles in eleven editions have been drawn against Ghana in first round of the qualifiers.

The Total Women’s AFCON will be staged in Morocco next year and will also be the qualifier for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia-New Zealand 2023.
