Onduparaka FC 1-1 Express FC
Express FC and Onduparaka have played out a 1-1 draw at the Greenlight stadium in Arua.
Muhammad Shaban scored for Onduparaka while Godfrey Lwesibawa equalized for Wasswa Bbosa’s men with both goals coming inside the first 30 minutes of the game.
Shaban capitalized on a blunder by goalkeeper Denis Otim to tap Onduparaka into the lead in the 9th minute.
Bbosa who was deprived of majority of his regular players, responded with a quick change by introducing midfielder Enock Ssebagala for John Toki Byamukama in the 17th minute.
10 minutes later, Lwesibawa exquisitely levelled the game with a volley from an Erick Kambale header just inside the area.
The two sides remained tied for the rest of the evening with hopes of sealing victory in the closing stages.
Bbosa threw on Joseph Akandwanaho and Mustafa Kiragga for Raymond Walugembe, who was making his first start and goal scorer Lwesibawa in search for a winner.
Express were reduced to 10 men in the final five minutes after Ssebagala was sent off for a second bookable offense shortly after receiving his first yellow.
The result left Express sixth on the log with 12 points while Onduparaka are 11th with nine points.
Express will host Mbarara City in their next game on Tuesday 7th December while Onduparaka will host Wakiso Giants on the same day.
