KCCA FC head coach Mike Hilary Mutebi has faith that his team will overturn a three goal deficit when Congolese side AS Otoho D’otoyo visit on Sunday at the Star times stadium.

The tactician claims his young team were not outplayed in Congo and they have all the experience and ability to score more than three goals to topple Otoho and progress to the group stages of the competition.

KCCA have it all to do on Sunday 20th at home and Mutebi believes the past performances against much bigger sides at Lugogo suggest they can prevail.

” We have the capacity and experience to correct the result, my players have the a lot of belief that they can do it”

Mutebi told the press

” They have gathered enough experience to negotiate such a tie, it’s going to be hard but achievable”

“We believe that just as Otoho scored two first half goals, so can we because we have done it before in the league and on the tournament”.

” They may come to play in a measured manner to protect their lead and catch us on the counter but the onus is on us to try to open up those organised lines and punish them”.

Mutebi also expressed a concern about Kizza Mustafa’s fitness and expects him to undergo a medical assessment to ascertain whether he will be in position to make the match day squad. The rest of the squad are fully fit and raring to go.

It should be noted that KCCA FC have only lost once at home (Mutebi’s era) in CAF competitions and they will be looking to build on that for inspiration.

Their opponents were ejected by FC Platinum from the CAF champions league preliminary stages to set up a duel with KCCA FC.

They currently sit 5th on the log of the Congolese league 1 and trail leaders CARA Brazaville by only 3 points albeit playing 2 games less.
