UPDF FC and Onduparaka FC settled for a point apiece in a goalless draw as they faced off at Bombo Military grounds. Onduparaka came into this game coachless after Livingstone Mbabazi was relieved of his duties as the man in the dug out for the caterpillars earlier in the day.

The two sides played to a defensive first half with each team not creating any serious attacks that could lead to a goal.

Steven Bogere, the UPDF tactician made an early change in the 25th minute when he took off Robert Nakyenalire replacing him midfielder Titus Lubega to help in controlling the game.

In the 43th minute, Onduparaka through Vianey Ssekajugo found the back of the net but his goal didn’t stand as he was ruled offside.

Coming back in the second stanza, no early substitutions were made as both sides were cautiously holding on to the scoreline. No serious goal attacks were created either.

Mustapha Kasolo and Joseph Janjali wastefully failed to capitalize on the few goal scoring chance that could help the army side win the three points.

Steven Bogere made several changes to add more firepower, Abdul Noor Lukwata replaced by Allan Kizza and Mustapha Kasolo paved way for Mustapha Dunga for the hosts in the 60th and 75th minutes respectively.

Inside the last quarter of the game, Onduparaka withdrew a worn out
Gaddafi Gadinho replacing him with Allan Busobozi in such for a breakthrough but they were unsuccessful.

In the 90th minute Rajab Kakooza almost found the back of the net for the visitors but his effort hit the woodwork before it was cleared away by Joseph Othieno.

A point earned leaves Onduparaka FC unmoved in the 6th position on 30 points as UPDF sits one place above the drop zone (13th) with 21 points.

Both teams are to play their next fixtures on Saturday, 31st March 2018 after the international break with Onduparaka FC hosting Masavu at Betway Greenlight Stadium while UPDF will host Maroons at Bombo Prisons Grounds.
