Ugandan winger Elkana Nkugwa has joined Somalia Premier League champions Mogadishu City Club.

Nkugwa was officially unveiled by the Somalian giants on Sunday on a one year contract.

He is among the new players signed by the club in preparation for the 2020/21 season which includes continental engagements.

Mogadishu City Club (MCC) will represent Somalia in the CAF Champions League next season.

Nkugwa featured for Kyetume FC last season but has previously turned out for SC Villa and URA in the recent past.

The Somalian league is also home to Ugandan players Hamdan Nsubuga and Shafiq Avemah (both at Elman SC), Vincent Egesa and Ivan Lubaale (Midmino FC), Stephen Ategeka and Nicholas Kagaba (Gaadiidka FC) among others.

Alex Isabirye is expected to lead Horseed FC in the CAF Confederation Cup having already won the Daud Cup last month.

Elman SC have parted ways with Ugandan coach Robert Mayanja following a string of unconvincing results.

The Somalian league is expected to kick off on 28th November 2020.
