The Somalian league is also home to Ugandan players Hamdan Nsubuga and Shafiq Avemah (both at Elman SC), Vincent Egesa and Ivan Lubaale (Midmino FC), Stephen Ategeka and Nicholas Kagaba (Gaadiidka FC) among others.

Alex Isabirye is expected to lead Horseed FC in the CAF Confederation Cup having already won the Daud Cup last month.
