Uganda Cranes Foreign based duo to miss South Sudan double header

Uganda Cranes duo of Alex Kakuba and Uche Mubiru Ikpeazu will miss the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier doubleheader against South Sudan.

Portugal based Kakuba tested positive for Covid-19 while Uche sustained an ankle injury on during Wycombe training on Friday.

The duo was among the 20 foreign based players who were summoned to prepare for the doubleheader.

Derrick Nsibambi, Salim Jamal, Allan Kyambadde, Khalid Aucho, Nicholas Wadada, Emmanuel Okwi, Mike Azira are the foreign based players who have already reported in camp.

Israeli based duo of defender Timothy Awanyi and forward Fahad Bayo is expected to report to camp today.

The team is to conduct a single training session today evening at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Uganda will host South Sudan on Thursday 14th November before traveling to Nairobi to play the same opponent in Nairobi Kenya.
