TRANSFERS: Striker Jimmy Bageya joins Kakamega Homeboyz

Ugandan striker Jimmy Bageya completed a move to Paul Nkata’s coached side Kakamega Homeboyz on a 1 year deal.

Bageya makes return to the Kenya Premier league after spending a while on the sidelines following the end of his stint in the Zambian topflight with NAPSA Stars.

The signing was confirmed by the club social media accounts soon after the completion of prolonged negotiations between the two parties.

” We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the services of Jimmy Bageya from Nairobi City Stars. Bageya has signed a 1 year deal with us.” says part of the confirmation

He becomes the fourth Ugandan player at the Kakamega club and joins compatriots Evans Kiwanuka, George Mandela and former Lweza FC forward Hassan Kikoyo.

Bageya has previously played for Entebbe Young, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, Nairobi City Stars, Bandari FC, Nakumatt FC, Entincelles (Rwanda), BDF FC (Botswana) and NAPSA Stars in Zambia.

Kakamega Homeboyz are currently 10th on the KPL table and will be playing their first ever league game under Paul Nkata today Wednesday 13th June against Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha stadium in Nakuru.
