TRANSFERS: Midfielder Sam Kintu joins new UPL entrants

Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC have completed the signing midfielder Sam Kintu “Tiyo.”

The army side beat Express FC and Sports Club to land the former Proline Football club player on a two year employment contract.

Kintu has been a free agent after terminating his contract at Proline FC at the end of the previous season. He has also previously played for Express FC.

The holding midfielder played a vital role during Proline FC’s Stanbic Uganda Cup and FUFA Big League triumphs during the 2018/19 season.

He joins Jesse Kajuba, Ronnie Kisekka, Ibrahim Wammanah, James Begisa, Gadafi Gadihno, Tonny Kyamera, Andrew Waiswa, John Ssemazzi, Juma Ssebaduka and Simon Mbaziira who are the other new recruits at the army side.

The army side also released players Sydney Ssenyonga, Junior Akena, Moses Kamya, Enock Omakira, Titus Lubega, Jose Maria Lubega, Davis Kamista, Godwin Kawaga, Abdul-Karim Kasule, Emmanuel Egau, Abasi Kiberu, Fred Kalanzi and Roger Milla Ahumuza
