UPDF FC, SC Villa and Express FC are interested in signing free agent Sam Kintu “Tiyo.”

In July this year, the midfielder mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Proline FC.

Swift Sports understands that, Express FC are leading the race for Kintu’s signature in a move that will see him rejoin the club.

For starters, Kintu played for Express FC until the 2016-17 season when he opted to join Proline.

Sources also indicate that SC Villa and UPDF FC have also met with Kintu’s representatives for a possible transfer.

The holding midfielder was instrumental for Proline FC during the club’s Stanbic Uganda Cup and FUFA Big League triumphs during the 2018/19 season.

He also played a key role during Proline’s CAF Confederation Cup adventure where they narrowly missed out on a place to the group stages of the competition following a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Libyan side Al-Nasr.
