American based pugilist Sharif Bogere “The Lion” has expressed his delight at what the Boxing Federation is doing in as regards revamping the sport.
Bogere who is signed to Mayweather promotions believes that local based boxers need a lot of help to be able to compete on the International level.
“I am delighted to be back home and I thank everyone for the support rendered to me. It’s an honour for me to be back home.”
“I thank the Uganda Boxing Federation whom I will work hand in hand with to see that we help the young boxers learn more about the game and be able to compete on the International level.”
Said Bogere at the UBF offices
Moses Muhangi the Uganda Boxing Federation says that they will use Bogere’s Boxing experience to sensitize the local based boxers and coaches in the country.
“We are very happy to see Sharif back home, we are to take this opportunity to learn more from him. Sharif has had a successful Boxing career, we shall use this chance to see that he teaches our Boxers more skills.
” He will also share with the coaches and the youngsters who are to compete in the Schools Championship.”
Bogere is a one time WBO NABO 2010 outstanding young male Boxer of the year. He is known for his flamboyant ring entrances and that aggressive fighting style which many talented boxers are expected to learn from the American based pugilist.
