Vipers striker Pius Wangi was among the players who were left by the club for the preseason camp in Mbale. This was a sign that the player was not in the plans of the new Mexican tactician Javier Martinez Espinosa.
Wangi, who has a year left on his employment contract at the club wants to leave the Kitende outfit on a permanent basis with potential suitors being 16 time league champions SC Villa and Express FC.
Close sources to the player confirm that the striker is unhappy with the lack of playing time and he is open to any move that assures him regular football.

The source further stresses that the striker has grown frustrated by the lack of progress in his talent due to the stiff competition for places and he would welcome a loan deal but a permanent move would be strongly be in preference.
Pius Wangi sprung to consciousness with a brace in the 2016 Uganda Cup final against Onduparaka at Nakivubo. He won the UPL title last season with Vipers scoring 3 goals.
The youthful striker also achieved tremendous success with St. Mary’s Kitende both in the Copa Coca-Cola National schools championships and in the East Africa Schools championships during his time at the school.
