Sadick Ssempigi has confirmed his resignation as the assistant coach at Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City Football Club.
Ssempigi has confirmed to Swift Sports that the working conditions could not favor his continuity with the Ankole Lions,
“I have resigned from Mbarara City with immediate effect so I will not serve as the assistant coach in the forthcoming season.”
“The working conditions were nolonger favorable for me so it was very hard for me to continue with the Ankole Lions.”
The Kooki head coach in the Airtel Masaza Cup tournament has not disclosed his next move,
“My next destination is not known but I know better opportunities are ahead of me.”
He has previously worked with Kampala University, Onduparaka Football Club, Mbarara FC and Buganda province in the FUFA Drum tournament.
The 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season is expected to kick off on 3rd-December and the Ankole Lions will be playing their first game on Saturday 5th-December against URA FC at a venue yet to be confirmed
