The Abbey Bogere Kikomeko coached side expressed early intent for a goal through Dan Sewava who was unfortunate to miss two chances including one that saw his effort kiss the woodwork.

Youngster Jeromy Kirya finally put the home side in the deserved lead with a curling effort that beat the trying gloves of Nyamityobora goalkeeper Denis Otim at the half hour mark.

With 8 minutes to normal time, David Bagoole doubled the lead with an exquisite free kick capitalizing on a foul on second half substitute Faizal Muwawu.

Ibrahim Dada Juma scored a consolation for Nyamityobora through a penalty kick in the added minutes to stretch his season tally to 8 goals.

Nyamityobora remain second from the bottom with only 13 points garnered from 22 outings while Kirinya Jinja SSS move to the 8th place with 30 points.

Kirinya Jinja SSS will play against SC Villa at Namboole on Wednesday March 6th whereas Nyamityobora will play host to Onduparaka a day earlier.
