Onyango ruled out of CAF champions league clash

Mamelodi Sundowns will be without shot stopper Denis Onyango for their CAF Champions league clash tonight with Leones Vegetarianos due to a knee injury.

The Ugandan captain and custodian sustained a ligament damage in a collision with SuperSport United striker James Keene during their ABSA Premiership contest at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

Zambian custodian Kennedy Mweene and Ex SuperSport goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse are the options to fill Onyango’s void. The match will be played today at the Lucas Moripe stadium.

Pitso Mosimane coached side will also miss the services of Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento, winger George Lebese and striker Thokozani Sekotlang through respective injuries.

The South African outfit lead 2-0 Courtesy of the first leg and a draw at Loftus tonight will see them progress to the next round.
