AC Paradou youngster Allan Okello has branded Uganda’s tie against South Sudan as the most important game of the qualification campaign for Cameroon 2022.
The former KCCA midfielder admits that Uganda struggled to dispatch South Sudan but he expects the team to have it easier this time having done some homework.
“We are good to go, both the young and senior players are ready. We have worked on our mistakes and it’s time to get on the pitch”.
“This is the most important game of the qualification process in that if we get the 3 points, we shall have sealed qualification”.
Okello was among McKinstry’s wildcards in the first leg when he came on and gave the team an extra dimension going forward. Another substitute Halid Lwaliwa scored Uganda’s only goal in the slim 1-0 victory
The Cranes are top of group B with 7 points, followed by Burkina Faso who beat Malawi 3-1 in their previous match. Victory in Nairobi will all but seal qualification for the Cranes with 2 games to spare.
The match will be played in Nairobi at Nyayo national stadium on Monday 16th 2020.
