Uganda Cranes defender cum midfielder Joseph Ochaya has calmed the hearts of the anxious fans ahead of Saturday’s tie against neighbors Tanzania.
The midfielder insists that there is nothing to worry about and called upon the fans to come in huge numbers to throw their weight behind the team.
“I won’t say that Tanzania is a bad team or a better side than us but football is football. We don’t want them to surprise us but I know they will come to frustrate us because they know we are a better side than them.”
But we shall play our football and make sure we get maximum points since we have prepared well and the home advantage will be key to us.”
Ochaya also urged the fans to come in big numbers and support the team to achieve positive results on Saturday, he says,
“I urge fellow Ugandans to come in large numbers and support the team because we have prepared well for the game on Saturday. I believe without the fans we can not do anything and so we call them to come and back up their team.”
Uganda Cranes will lock horns with Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on Saturday in the 2019 AFCON qualifying contest at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
