Abraham Ndugwa was the scorer of the all important goal that saw Vipers SC edge out El Merreikh in the CAF Champions league clash at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The forward was at the peak of his powers and believes the goal will be a key factor in building his confidence at the Kitende based side.
He however takes his goal against Sao Tome and Principe in the National colours as his best football moment.
“I believe the goal is important for me as a player since it gives confidence to me but the most important thing is that the team progressed to the next round.”
” I feel great that I scored for my club but my best football moment is the first international goal against Sao Tome and Principe on my debut in the National colours.”
Ndugwa also praised his teammates and head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza who have been of great help to him in his career at Vipers.
“It’s not easy to start playing football at a new club but when you find great teammates it helps you as a player and this has been a key factor in my career at Vipers.”
” I thank the head coach Javier Martinez for the trust and I believe if we continue to master the his instructions we can go far in the competition.”
Vipers SC will next face Algeria’s Club CS Constantine away in the next round of the CAF Champions league on the weekend of December 14-16th.
