Muhangi highlights on achievements as UBF president

Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi during the extraordinary assembly held at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo highlighted on what has been achieved during his leadership.

“We have spent eleven months in office, I remember we found the Federation existing in words but not a proper state. We were not even handed the office officially.”

The office of the federation did not even have furniture but we have have managed to fix this now and as i speak we have a well equipped office.”

We also have a lawyer to help us in matters regarding courts of law and we have managed to win 9 cases. I strongly believe that we shall also win the two other cases still in court.”

He added,

“In October this year we organised a schools game masters workshop on reviving Boxing in schools and this was well attended by various schools. This will be key in helping nurture new Boxers just like during the past years.”

Earlier this month, we joined hands with top organizations like UNAIDS, AIC, IDI and UAC in a campaign named Box HIV out. In this course, Coaches, administrators, Referees, club owners and Judges we sensitized.”

The extraordinary assembly also saw 28 of the Boxing delegates voted to indefinitely suspend Patron Geoffrey Nyakana.
