MTN Uganda acquires naming rights for KCCA FC Stadium

DAVID GOMBE

MTN Uganda has acquired the naming rights of KCCA Football club home Stadium. The facility will be called MTN Omondi Stadium for the next ten years.

In honour of the legacy of Philip Omondi, MTN and KCCA have decided to withheld the name of the late player who dedicated his life to football in Uganda as a player and coach.

The development sees an end to the StarTimes deal that saw the Stadium named StarTimes Stadium in a deal that was signed in 2017.

MTN Uganda has a long history of involvement in sports in this country and has been associated with KCCA FC for long. This partnership will be executed as part of the club’s bigger plans to upgrade its home.” Stated Somdev Sen MTN Uganda Chief Marketing officer.
