Joseph Mpande Mbolimbo was on the score sheet for the second time this season as his Hai Phong side played a 1-1 draw with SHB Da Nang in the Vietnamese topflight league on Sunday.

Mpande headed home the equalizer at the stroke of halftime to cancel out Dominik Schmitt’s early strike.

The full time whistle saw both sides walk away with a point after being reduced to 10-men each.

Mpande’s first goal of the season came last week in the 1-0 win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

In other games played over the weekend, Moses Oloya was on the bench as defending champions Ha Noi played a goalless draw with Sanna Khanh Hoa BVN on Saturday.

Godfrey Baba Kizito played full time in Sai Gon’s 1-1 draw against QNK Quang Nam on Sunday.

Next week’s action pits Mpande’s Hai Phong against Moses Oloya’s Ha Noi on Sunday 21st April.

Hai Phong are third on the table with 9 points, one behind second placed Ha Noi. Baba Kizito and his Sai Gon teammates are 5th with eight points collected from five games.
