Moses Mwase takes over from Rukare as new USF President

The Uganda Swimming Federation has named Moses Mwase as the new president.

Mwase replaces Donald Rukare who was appointed by the State Minister for Sports Hamson Obua as the new chairman for National Council of Sports last month.

Rukare has been the Federation President since 2005 when he took over from the late Jerry Dralga.

Mwase was appointed by the USF Executive Committee during an extra ordinary meeting held on Monday and will take over the helms at the Federation until the 2021.

Previously, Mwase has been serving as the Secretary General at the Federation. He is also the Director of Privatization Unit in the Ministry of Finance.

Albert Wasswa was also named new Secretary General, replacing Mwase.

Max Kanyerezi who was serving as the Competitions Secretary takes over from Wasswa as the Assistant Secretary General.
