Moroccan club express interest in Vipers’ forward

Moroccan topflight newbies Mouloudia Club D’oujda have expressed their interest in signing Vipers and Uganda Cranes forward Milton Karisa.

Swift Sports sources reliably understand that Mouloudia Club D’oujda has tabled a fee of 50,000 Euros (fifty thousand euros) for the signature of Karisa.

Karisa has been an integral figure at Vipers since signing a three year contract from BUL FC last year in January. His personal exploits steered the Venoms to their 3rd ever league triumph.

Karisa scored 12 league goals last season and it’s on the account of his agility, blistering pace, dauntless energy and a knack of scoring goals that lured the interest of the Moroccan club Mouloudia Club D’oujda.

Mouloudia Club D’oujda (not to be confused with Algeria’s Mouloudia Club D’Algeirs) is a newly promoted club in the Moroccan topflight of Botola Maroc Telecom having emerged champions of the second tier last season.

Based in the Moroccan city of D’oujda, the club was formed after the Algerian giants Mouloudia D’Algiers in 1946 on the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad hence the name “Mouloudia”.

Should the negotiations materialise, Karisa will become Uganda’s 5th representative in North Africa after Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Derrick Nsibambi, Isaac Muleme and Daniel Opolot Isiagi.

Karisa has previously played for Jinja Municipal Council Hippos (JMC) and BUL FC. He represented Uganda in the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco early this year.

Of course, Swift Sports Uganda will keep you posted.
