Mbarara City unveil goalkeeper Martin Elungat

Mbarara City Football Club have unveiled goalkeeper Martin Elungat ahead of the forthcoming football season.

The custodian has signed an employment of one year with the Ankole Lions.

Elungat comes in to fill the void left by Thomas Ikara who already joined Uganda Police Football Club.

He has previously played for now defunct Fire Masters, SC Villa, KCCA FC, Express FC in Uganda , Muhoroni Youth, Thika United and Zoo Kericho last season.

Mbarara City has so far signed Bashir Mutanda, Ronald Edwok, Godfrey Kalungi and defender Ramathan Kareem while Samali Farouk returns home from a loan spell at FUFA Big League entity Kigezi HomeBoyz.

The club has also awarded Pistis Barenge, Jude Ssemugabi, Muhammad Ssekeba, Soulyamane Bamba, Stephen Othieno, Swalik Bebe Segujja with new contracts.

Under Brian Ssenyondo they finished 7th last season with 36 points when the league was abruptly called off.

The Uganda Premier League season 2020-21 is expected to kick off on 3rd-December.
