Mbarara City revive survival hopes with a home encounter against BUL FC

Mbarara City will revive their fight for survival as they host Jinja based outfit BUL FC at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

The Ankole Lions who are living dangerously with 7 games left lay 15th with 23 points collected from 23 games.

Mbarara City FC come into this game after a 1-0 loss to Express FC away at Wankulukuku stadium in their previous game while BUL FC played to a 0-0 stalemate at home against Vipers in previous game.

The reverse fixture between these two sides ended in a goalless draw in Kakindu at the start of the season.

The previous 5 games for Mbarara city have seen them losing 3 and drawing 2. They lost 2-0 to Vipers SC, 1-0 to UPDF, drew 1-1 against both URA and KCCA FC before losing against Express FC at Wankulukuku.

BUL FC has won 2 of their last 5 games, drew 2 and lost 1. They played to a 1-1 draw against Masavu, 1-0 win over Proline, 3-2 win over Police and a 3-1 loss to Soana before a 0-0 stalemate with Vipers.

Steven Othieno, Elieza Okorie and Emmanuel Ibe Obina who missed the previous game will be returning to the hosts’ squad in this game while for BUL FC, only Mike Ndera will remain sidelined due to injury but the rest of the team members are declared fit and available for selection.

A win for the the home side will see them move to the 12th position with 26 points leapfrogging Proline, UPDF and Express in the process. While victory for the Jinja based side will see them in the 8th position with 32 points.
