Livingston Mbabazi’s charges saw off Maroon 2-0 at Luzira Prisons grounds in their previous league contest whereas Nyamityobora lost to Vipers SC, courtesy of a Innocent Wafula lone strike.

In the first league meeting this season, Nyamityobora came up on top defeating Mbarara City 2-1 at Muteesa II Stadium. The two sides also faced off twice in the second tier, Mbarara City winning once and the other ending in a goalless stalemate.

Mbarara City has one of the best defences in the league this season, having only conceded 11 goals, only URA FC (6) and Vipers (10) have conceded less. On the other hand, Nyamityobora has conceded 27 goals only bettering Police (30) and Ndejje University (28).

Mbarara City has managed 7 wins and 2 draws in the 9 league games they have hosted this season. They have also scored in 8 of their home games, only failing to score against KCCA FC.

Both sides have no fresh injuries ahead of this encounter.

Attacking midfielder Paul Mucureezi, custodian Ali Kimera and skipper Hillary Mukundane will be expected to guide the home side to maximum points.

The visitors will looked up to Ibrahim Juma Dada who netted a hat trick against Police alongside goalkeeper Dennis Otim for inspiration.

A win Mbarara City will see them stay third placed with 35 points whereas victory will see Nyamityobora move a place above the drop zone.
