Manager Mike Mutebi expects to build on his team’s confidence gained from the hard fought win against Kirinya Jinja S. S.

We are coming into this game with a win away in Jinja from our previous game. Getting a result from Kirinya Jinja SS is a motivation to our team ahead of Mbarara city game tomorrow”. said Mutebi

Mbarara City FC drew 1-1 against URA FC in their previous game. However, they have not won a game in 10 of their recent away fixtures in the league.

Mbarara city coach Sam Kawalya declared all his team members fit and available for selection and warned that they cannot bow to relegation pressure but will fight for maximum points from this game. He said,

“All my players are available for selection and we want to pick maximum points from Lugogo because we also fear relegation. We know they are a good team which we respect but we also want the points badly”.

The first round fixture between these two sides was played to a barren stalemate at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

All eyes will be on Solomon Okwalinga who was part of Mbarara city squad in the first round and is with the Lugogo based side this time round.

Allan Okello, Julius Poloto and Mustafa Kizza who did not feature for the Lugogo based side during the previous game against Kirinya Jinja SS will return to the fold from national duty with U-20 team. Saddam Juma remains on the sidelines due to injury while Jackson Nunda has started light training but not declared fully fit for the game.

A win for KCCA will not only sink their visitors closer to the red line but also help the Kasasiro boys close the gap from table leaders Sc Villa.

A win for Mbarara city FC will them to stay further from the red line with 25 points.
