Featherweight Boxer Isaac Masembe remains hopeful to fight for a place in this year’s Olympic games during the second Boxing qualifiers in France.
The 2019 All Africa games silver medalist lost to Ghana’s Samuel Takyi during the Featherweight third place Box off bout in Dakar, Senegal at end of last month.
“It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t make it to Tokyo in Senegal but now focus turns to the qualifiers in France. “I have faith and I will continue to work hard to achieve my dream and represent my nation in this year’s Olympic games in Tokyo.”
Masembe also received his Real Stars award for the month of January from the Bombers team manager Zebra Ssenyange “Mando”. At the time he was named best Boxer of the month, he was away in Dakar.
