Magogo beat Tanzania’s Leodgar Tenga with 33 votes to 19.

Magogo has previously been a co-opted member of CAF Excom heading the Futsal and Beach soccer committee.

Co-opted members have no voting rights in the Excom and have limited powers in making decisions in the committee.

Magogo became FUFA president in 2013 when Lawarence Mulindwa chose to retire and has since registered tremendous achievements including back to back qualification of the Uganda Cranes in the AFCON in Gabon 2017 and Egypt 2019 respectively.
