Everything that Joel Madondo touches turns into Gold. The Kirinya Jinja SS forward and current top scorer of the Uganda premier league has been crowned with the accolade of being the best player of the month of October.
Madondo who managed 4 goals in October has had a tremendous rise in his stock, having also earned a call to the national team and the U23 squad.
He beat Vipers midfielder Moses Waiswa and Onduparaka’s inform diminutive striker Viane Sekajugo.
In the coaches’ category, Asaph Mwebaze beat Vipers’ Javier Espinoza Martinez and KCCA’s Mike Mutebi to be crowned the best coach.
Mwebaze who is in his first season at the Arua based side managed to clinch an astonishing victory over Kirinya JSS at their own backyard and also beat 16 time champions SC Villa at Mandela National Stadium in scintillating fashion.
The awards which are aimed at motivation and appreciating outstanding talent, was graced by Kirinya JSS president Mrs Diana Nyago who expressed her excitement at the development and commended the organisers for having managed to come up with such an initiative which recognises hard work and excellence .

Winners were presented with a special souvenir award accompanied by a cash prize of 500,000/= plus a fuel coupon to refill at Benzina petroleum Kawempe.
The awards also recognized the best fan and the gong went to a one Veronica Nanyondo of KCCA, she has been awarded with an all expenses dinner at Khalifa Executive suits in Bugolobi.
