Lwakataka calls for fans’ intervention in search for a new Rally car

The round 8 of the Mountain Dew National Motocross Championship is slated for 25th November at Busika and will also double as a fundraising sprint for a rally car for Ponsiano Lwakataka.

Lwakataka a two time National Rally champion has urged fans to come and support him during this cause so that he can get a new rally car that will enable him compete next year.

“I call upon my fans and well wishers to come and support me on 25th of this month during my fundraising for a new rally car. I won two National Championships using a locally made car and now I call everyone to come and support me get a better car so that i compete next year.”

I am delighted that FMU and all the sponsors on board for organizing this event and if all goes to expectations, I will officially unveil my new car before the year comes to an end.”

Lwakataka congratulated Susan Muwonge for winning the National Rally Championship and also thanked some politicians who have supported him.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate Susan Muwonge for winning the National Rally Championship, she is my student and I feel great for her.

I thank politicians like Muhammad Ssegirinya, Fred Mukasa Mbidde and Rose Namayanja for the support they have given me. Some Members of Parliament make empty promises but at least these for them they have been of great support.”

Lwakataka also confirmed that he has so far collected 105 million Shillings from his fans and remains positive about achieving his goal.
So far 28 drivers have shown interest in participating and the forms of registration will be picked at FMU, Lugogo starting tomorrow Thursday 15th November, 2018.
