The two sides have had a dreadful season and are tottering on the negative end of the table with less than 8 games to the league climax. They are both tied on 19 points with Proline having a superior goal difference of (-6) compared to Masavu’s (-21)

Proline is yet to score any goal in their last 8 league fixtures and are winless in the previous 9 games condemning themselves to a slump down the table to as low as the 15th position.

Their counterparts, Masavu FC are winless in the last 9 league games but managed to pull a string of 5 draws at the start of the promising but fruitless second round of the season.

Proline is one of the 3 teams yet to clinch victory away from home with others being Mbarara and Bright Stars. They have lost 7 of the 11 games they have played on road managing only 4 draws.

Masavu are unbeaten but in their last 4 home games having managed 3 draws against KCCA, UPDF and Bright Stars and a win against Onduparaka. They have won 2 of the 11 games they have hosted at Bugonga this season, drawing 3 and losing 5 others.

FORM GUIDE
Masavu FC : LLLDD
Proline FC : LDLDL

Masavu come into this tie on a background of 3 consecutive defeats at the hands of Police (2-1), Villa (1-0) and Onduparaka (3-0).

Proline on the other hand come into this fixture after losing 1-0 to Onduparaka at Lugogo last week.

Midfielder Charles Wamala returns to the fold for Masavu after missing the previous two games whereas Godfrey Wasswa, Patrick Senfuka and Michael Otimong are sidelined with injuries. Utility player Simon Namwanja will be facing his former side.

The Entebbe outfit will be aiming for a double over Proline after winning the reverse fixture 1-0 when the two clashed at Lugogo in September courtesy of an Abraham Ndugwa strike in the 13th minute.

Proline pair of Savio Kabugo and Allan Egaku have not been included in the club’s travelling 19-man squad. The rest of the squad is available for selection.

Ndugwa who has been Masavu’s talisman with 5 goals so far is expected to inspire Bugonga based side to positive once again.

Joseph Mutyaba’s men should however do away with wastefulness in front of the goal if they stand a chance to claim their 5th victory of the season.

Proline on the other hand will bank on Saidi Keni, Joseph Mandela, Simon Mbaziira and Sula Matovu for a positive and much needed result.

A win for either sides can possibly elevate them to the 14th place should the result in the Express vs Mbarara City game go in Mbarara’s favor.
