The two sides who also played to a stalemate in their big league encounter were tied for the second time in a Uganda cup quarter final meeting.

After a full 120 minutes of intense football, there was not going to be a winner and the two sides went to penalties to decide who join Bright stars in the semifinals.

Wakiso Giants had previously eliminated Kireka United and Tooro United on penalties but this time , they weren’t going to be third time lucky.

Ibrahim Kirya had tried his charm by bringing on Mansoor Mutumba for Yasin Mugabi but he failed to save any of the Kyetume spot kicks.

Only Ivan Kiweewa managed to convert his penalty when his compatriots Clinton Kamugisha and James Kasibante failed to beat Ismail Zziwa the Kyetume goalkeeper.

Lubowa Denis, Sande M, Kazindula Ibrahim and the ever green former Cranes international Vincent Kayizzi scored for Kyetume.

Tomorrow, Express FC will host BUL FC at Muteesa II stadium Wankuluku, whereas Proline will host Vipers at the Philip Omondi Stadium on Tuesday to complete the semi final line up.
