Kirinya Jinja SS will host Police FC on Tuesday 12th February in a league encounter at Mighty Arena, Jinja.

The Cops currently occupy the 7th position with 27 points accumulated in 18 league games whereas Kirinya Jinja SS is 11th placed with 21 points.

Kirinya has won the previous two games they have hosted the 2005 league champions. In the first round meeting between the two sides this season, Police managed to defeat Kirinya 3-2 in December last year at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

The Jinja outfit played out to a goalless stalemate away to Onduparaka in their previous game while Police needed Juma Balinya’s sole strike to overcome relegation threatened Ndejje University.

Abbey Bogere Kikomeko the Kirinya Jinja SS FC tactician is optimistic that his players can pick maximum points over the Cops

“We have prepared well, my players are in great condition and determined to get maximum points. Police is a great side who can possess and score goals though they can as well concede many. We want to score early goals and make sure we concentrate so as not to concede.” Stated Bogere.

Isma Kawawulo and Isaac Isinde have been declared fit to feature against Police tomorrow whereas Nelson Mandela returns from suspension. Kasonko George is out of this contest due to card accumulation.

The visitors will have to wary of the threat posed by Joel Madondo and David Bagoole. Abdallah Mubiru’s side will look up to joint league scorer Juma Balinya with 11 goals for inspiration. Paul Willa and Johnson Odongo are also expected to put up a superb performance.

Victory for Kirinya will see them move to 9th place currently occupied by Bright Stars whereas a Cops win can take them to 5th place in case URA FC slip at Onduparaka.
