FWEL : Nalukenge on the brace as Kawempe ease past Asubo-Gafford Ladies

Juliet Nalukenge intensified her goal scoring exploits with a brace as Kawempe Muslim put four past Asubo-Gafford Ladies at Kanyanya in one of the five games played on Saturday.

Nalukenge who bagged a brace last week against She Corporates, scored two quick goals at the stroke of halftime before Anita Namata and Tracy Jones Akiror put the game beyond reasonable doubt.

The Kawempe Muslim go-to girl has now scored 6 goals in the 5 games played this season which is a goal lesser than her tally last season.

The comprehensive victory keeps Kawempe Muslim comfortably on the top of the Victoria group with 13 points. That is 5 points more than second placed Lady Doves.

Elsewhere in Nakawa, She Corporates recovered from last week’s defeat with a slender 1-0 victory over Ajax Queens Bulenga.

Sarah Namulindwa scored the all important goal in the late kicks of the game to ensure the Nakawa based outfit record their 2nd win of the season.

UCU Lady Cardinals edged Olila High School WFC in a 4-goal thriller at Mukono thanks to goals from Maureen Kinavudori, Hasifa Nassuna and Jackie Nakasi.

Eunice Ariokol scored for the visitors in the 75th minute to temporarily tie the contest at 1-1.

The result implies that the University side maintain a grip on the top of the Elizabeth group with 12 points while Olila sit third on the log with 8 points.

In Bugiri, She Mak prolonged Town View’s pursuit for their maiden point with a 3-1 win. Samalie Nakamatte (brace) and Josephine Asara were on the score sheet for the Makerere University side while Quinta Auma found a consolation for the home side.
