The FUFA Women Elite League will resume on Saturday 24th November with five fixtures on card at various playgrounds.

Asubo-Gafford Ladies are sitting 3rd on the table with 7 points but also stand a chance of going top should then put the holders to the sword.

The two sides come into this encounter on a high after winning their most recent games last weekend. Kawempe defeated She Corporates 3-0 while Asubo-Gafford Ladies managed a 2-1 victory over Dynamic SS Jjeza.

Juliet Nalukenge who currently leads the scorers’ chats with 4 goals will once again be expected to lead Ayub Khalifa’s charges.

” It’s not going to be an easy game but we as a team are expecting nothing but a win. ” Nalukenge said when asked about expectations from their visit to Kanyanya.

FUFA awards nominee Tracy Jones Akiror together with Anita Namata and Brenda Nakayenga will be the other key players to look out for in the Kawempe Muslim team.

The hosts will look up to their inspirational captain Shakira Mutiibwa, Sheeba Zalwango and Joan Nabirye if at all they are to stake a claim on the maximum points.

Mutiibwa who netted her first goal in two seasons last week is optimistic her teammates will bank on home advantage to scoop the 3 points.

She says,
” I believe we have a slight advantage because we are the home team in this case. We badly need maximum points to go top of the table. “

Kawempe Muslim didn’t win any of the two fixtures when the two teams met last season, playing to a draw before losing 1-0 at home.

In the other Victoria group game on the day, She Corporates will seek to recover from last week’s disappointing defeat when they welcome another wounded side in Ajax Queens at MUBS playground in Nakawa.

She Corporates line up

Fresh from a morale boosting 2-1 away win against Muteesa, Rines SS WFC hope to extend their winning touch when they visit lowly-lying Dynamic SS Jjeza in Muduuma, Mityana.

In the Elizabeth group, the inconsistent UCU Lady Cardinals will lock horns with Soroti outfit Olila High school Women club at Mukono.

Despite leading the pool with 9 points from 5 games, UCU has in the past two games played to disappointing stalemates with seemingly weaker sides.

Olila on the hand are second with 8 points garnered from 4 games and can claim the group summit should they defeat the University side.

New league entrants Bugiri Town View SS aim at winning their first ever point of the season when they they host Makerere University female side She Mak at the Bugiri district medical ground.

The Bugiri club has lost all it’s three games played so far while their opponents She Mak are 5th placed with 4 points from four games.
