FUTSAL UGANDA CUP: Yeak Kabowa, Dream, Crown storm semi finals

The second edition of the Futsal Uganda Cup resumed with quarter finals on Thursday night at the IFCU in Mengo, Kisenyi.

Yeak Kabowa, Dream, Crown and Bajim were the four teams that booked a berth in the semi finals.

The free scoring Yeak Kabowa annihilated Typhoon 8-3 in a match played at 7:00pm. Shafik Avemah, Enock Ssebagala, Nsamba Ronald Emmanuel and John Musaasizi all scored a brace each for last year’s runners up.

Dream overcame Mengo City 2-1 thanks to first half strikes from Swahib Kazibwe and Muyingo Jamal while Kaboyo Swaleh scored a consolation for the losing side.

Crown edged Kabowa United 2-1 in the first game played on the evening. Mahad Muhamood Salad scored a brace for Crown while Moli Titus scored the lone goal for Kabowa United.

In the late kick off the day, Bajim eased past Nomad with a 4-1 victory courtesy Kamya Ibrahim, Kiberu Isaac, Sunday Franco and Mubiru Derick.

Elsewhere, Sona Sports Home edged Friends of Football (F.O.F) 6-3 in a tribute match for the fallen former footballer Moses Nana Ntabazi who passed on last week.

Crown will play against Yeak Kabowa whereas Dream will now face Bajim in the semi final pairings slated for Thursday April 11th at the same venue.

Yeak Kabowa’s Ssebagala Enock leads the golden boot race with 5 goals after two rounds.

The final of this year’s tournament will be played on May 9th where the winner will walk away with money prize of Two million Uganda Shillings (2,000,000/=) sponsored by Ssaka Hauliers.
