FUTSAL UGANDA CUP: All is set as SONA makes debut in an action laden night

The second edition of the Futsal Uganda Cup will officially kickoff on Thursday 31st January with 8 games of the round of 16 stage.

This year’s tournament will have the fourteen league teams vying for the championship with two none league entities.

Kabowa United will open up the mouthwatering menu at the Futsal Courts in Mengo against Yap Stars at 6:00pm.

Crown will lock horns with the defending champions Luzira Thunders who are one of the two none league teams in another early kick off.

Last year’s losing finalists Yeak Kabowa open their campaign against Aidenal School of Art at 7:00pm while Typhoon face off with Equator at the same time.

Park and and Futsal Super League holders Dream face off in arguably the biggest game of the round at 8:00pm. Mengo City and Elephants also take center stage at 8:00pm.

9:00pm will see exciting none league side Sona go toe to toe with Nomad as Parakeets play against Bajim.

The final of this year’s tournament will be played on May 9th where the winner will walk away with money prize of Two million Uganda Shillings (2,000,000/=) sponsored by Ssaka Hauliers.

Luzira Thunders won the maiden edition after defeating Yeak Kabowa 3-2 in the finals.
