FUTSAL SUPER LEAGUE : Yeak Kabowa go top as Parakeets stumble

Yeak Kabowa assumed the summit of the table as the Futsal Super League resumed on Thursday evening with six games played.

To go top, Yeak Kabowa had to thump Equator 7-4 in the highest scoring match of the day while other results went their way.

Action between Yeak Kabowa and Equator

Avemah Shaffic scored four goals to ensure his tally goes to 18 this season while Sebagala Enock (brace), Abdala Sadam Hussein and Bwogi Edgar own goal made it seven for the Yeak Kabowa side.

Bwogi, Omar Hitimana, Tusubira Abraham Kakensa and Sempa Hudson Daniel scored one each for Equator.

Prior to match day 12, Parakeets were the log leaders only to suffer a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Nomad at 8:00pm.

Abdifitaah Ahmed Omar who grabbed himself a hat trick together with a brace from Abdulkadir Ibrahim Ali and an opener from Abdullahi Gurey Said catapulted Nomad to victory.

Onegi Borris and Abigaba Joseph Vicent scored for the Parakeets what turned out to be mere consolations.

Parakeets are now third with 22 points, one behind Yeak Kabowa and on level with the second placed Crown who edged Typhoon 4-2.

A Ssemakula Islam hat trick was supplemented by Ismail Abdirashid Ismail’s goal to ensure Crown overcomes Typhoon.

Kyambadde Andrew and Maawiya Abdullah found consolations for the White walkers who are now 6th on the 14-team table with 16 points.

Park shared spoils with defending champions Dream in a four goal encounter. Babu Iddi who also doubles as the Park captain scored twice while Muyingo Jamal and Ssegawa John Kintu did the same for the holders.

Park missed a chance to go back on the log summit after drawing with 2-2 Dream

Dream are 7th with 16 points whereas Park are fourth with 21 points that is two points behind Yeak Kabowa.

Elephants defeated Kabowa United 4-2 in a bottom of the table affair thanks to Tumwine Phillip (brace), Wagana Eric and Wasswa Hassan.

Victory for the Elephants implies that they move from the basement of the table to the 12th place with 7 points garnered from 10 outings.

In the early kick off of the evening, Bajim recorded their fourth win of the season after defeating Yap Stars 2-0 thanks to a goal in each by Ronald Sekiganda and Sunday Franco. The result leaves Yap Stars second from the bottom while Bajim remain 8th but on 14 points.

Avemah Shaffic is one goal shy of Bukenya Joseph Kizza’s 19 in the scoring ranks. Park’s Babu Iddi comes third with 14 goals.

The Futsal Super League will resume next week on Thursday (January 24th) with seven exciting match day 13 fixtures.
