FUTSAL: Goals galore as Futsal Super League resumes

It rained goals at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo, Kisenyi as the Futsal Super League resumed with match day 14.

A total of 53 goals were witnessed in the action laden night will not be easily forgotten by the Futsal levellers.

Defending Champions Dream pulled the biggest win on the evening, a 9-1 mauling of lowly side Yap Stars at 7:00pm.

Jamal Muyingo scored four goals and Sadam Said Farah picked a brace while Ssentongo Ali Kiseka, Kazibwe Swahib and Ssegawa John Kintu grabbed one a piece each for the reviving holders.

Yeak Kabowa maintained their four point lead on the table summit after pummeling league debutants Aidenal School of Art 8-0.

Ssebagala Enock scored four times while Mugenyi Abdul Swabul, Musaasizi John, Mawejje Jovan and Nasamba Ronald Emmanuel all scored one goal for the log leaders.

Yeak Kabowa lead the 14-team table with 29 points accumulated from 12 games.

Parakeets bounced back to the winning ways with a 6-3 victory over Crown in the early kick of the day thanks to hat tricks from Onegi Borris and Ssentongo Arafat.

Parakeets are now second with 25 points while Crown who came into match day 14 as the second placed team slipped to the 6th position which shows how competitive the top of the table is.

Park edged Typhoon 3-2 in the closing stages of the day thanks to a Joshua Aziku hat trick. Mato Roger and Umar Ssebuliba scored for the white walkers.

The match between Elephants and Bajim was the highest scoring encounter of the evening. The two sides played to a thrilling 7-7 draw that saw Elephants’ Collins Muhumuza score a whooping 5 goals.

Bajim were inspired by a brace each from Zziwa Jimmy, Ssematiba Titus and Sunday Franco.

Mengo City overcame Equator 3-1 while Nomad were 2-1 victors over lowly placed side Kabowa United.

Yeak Kabowa’s Avemah Shaffic still leads the scorers’ chats with 24 goals.
