Moses Magogo owned Kampala Queens have been drawn against stalwarts Kawempe Muslim Ladies in the round of 16 of the second edition of the FUFA Women Cup draws held today at FUFA house in Mengo.
Kampala Queens who are coached by Crested Cranes coach Farida Bulega earned a walk over against Gaddafi Integrated in the preliminary round. They will take on a Kawempe Muslim side that was among the top seeded sides that received a bye over the previous round.
Kanyanya based Gafford Ladies who are also last year’s losing finalists have been drawn against a star studded UCU Lady Cardinals side.
Holders Olila High School Women will kick start their title defense with a visit to Makerere to take on She Mak.
Ajax Queens will face Muteesa I Royal University in one of the intriguing ties of the round whereas She Corporate will entertain Isra Soccer Academy.
The finals of this year’s edition will be played in Bushenyi district in June with 7.5 million shillings up for grabs for the winner, a rise from the 3 millions given out last year.
Olila High School Women Football Club are the defending champions after edging Gafford Ladies 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 full-time draw at Madibira grounds in Busia district last June.
All games will be played on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April 2018.
