The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed the technical personnel of the National U17 and U20 men teams for a period of six month.
The newly appointed technical teams will immediately kick start their duties during the AFCON Zonal Qualifiers for CECAFA Region.
KCCA FC assistant coach Morley Byekwaso has been named as the head coach of the U20 team and will be assisted by former Cranes defender Simeon Masaba who will also serve as the fitness coach
Stephen Billy Kiggundu is the goalkeeping coach while Michael Lule is the Team physician.
Hamza Lutalo has been appointed as the U17 head coach and will be deputized by Mbarara City head coach Brian Ssenyondo.
Arthur Kyesimira is the fitness coach while Mubarak Kiberu is the goalkeeping coach. Kabatalindwa Mable is the U17 team physician.
The CECAFA (Central East Zone Qualifiers) are to determine the teams that will prevail to the AFCON U20 and U17 Finals in Mauritania and Morocco respectively.
The U20 team is in group B alongside Burundi, Eritrea and South Sudan. The regional qualifiers tournament is slated for 22nd November to 6th December, 2020 in Tanzania.
The U17 team will lock horns with Ethiopia and Kenya in Group B at the tournament that will be staged in Rwanda from 13th to 28th December 2020.
