Ivan Busingye “Aucho” has completed his move to join FUFA Big League side Kigezi Homeboyz FC on a one year deal, Swift Sports can confirm.
Busingye played for Dove FC Masindi last season who were relegated despite featuring in the promotion playoffs the previous campaign.
He is nicknamed Aucho for his workaholic attributes in the midfield.
His signing at the Kabale based club comes after the arrival of Mark Twinamatsiko as the new club coach on a three year contract.
Just like Twinamatsiko who guided Kitara FC to the top-flight league, Busingye’s immediate assignment is inspiring his new side to promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
Busingye has in the past played for Kijunjubwa FC, Railway FC and Booma FC all in the lower divisions.
Kigezi Homeboyz narrowly missed the promotion playoff places last season behind Ndejje University, Kitara FC and UPDF FC in the Rwenzori Group.
Their closest to top-flight promotion was in the 2017-18 season when they played in the playoffs at Lugogo.
