FAU to honor late Ntabazi as Fustal Uganda Cup returns with Quarter finals

The Futsal Association of Uganda (F.A.U) will pay a tribute to the fallen former footballer Moses “Nana” Ntabazi with a match alongside the Futsal Uganda Cup quarter finals on Thursday 21st February at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo, Kisenyi.

The ceremonial match will be between the Sports journalists of Sona Sports Home and Friends of Football (F.O.F) scheduled for 9:00pm.

Nana Ntabazi was a product of Friends of Football who passed on last week on Tuesday before being laid to rest at Nakifuuma in Mukono district.

The Futsal Uganda Cup quarter finals will kick off with a 6:00pm encounter between Crown and Kabowa United. Crown eliminated the defending champions Luzira Thunders in the previous round while Kabowa United defeated Yap Stars 3-0.

Favourites Yeak Kabowa will face the tricky Typhoon at 7:00pm. Yeak Kabowa who also lead the Super League log, thumped Aidenal 5-1 while Typhoon edged Equator 3-2.

Super League holders Dream lock horns with Mengo City at the same time. Dream overcame Park with a 2-0 win thanks to a Kazibwe Swahib brace whereas Mengo City stormed the quarter finals courtesy of a penalty shoot victory over Elephants.

Nomad will play against Bajim the fourth and last quarter final match of the day at 8:00pm.

The final of this year’s tournament will be played on May 9th where the winner will walk away with money prize of Two million Uganda Shillings (2,000,000/=) sponsored by Ssaka Hauliers.
