Exciting Busoga United starlet completes Vipers switch

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have signed striker Lawrence Tezikya from Busoga United.

Swift sports sources revealed that the youngster has put pen to paper on a three year employment contract with the Kitende based side.

At the start of the 2019/20 season, Busoga United promoted Tezikya from the Junior team to the senior team following astonishing performances.

During the previous campaign, the sensational forward scored five goals in the eight league games he played for Busoga United in last season.

Tezikya is also a 2017 Copa Coca-Cola Schools cup winner with Jinja SS and has finished as the leading scorer in the competition three times (2017, 2018 and 2019).

He is quick, strong, opportunistic and prolific forward with good technique, slender frame. Tezikya possess an excellent first touch, intelligent movement off the ball and clinical finishing, he is a well rounded striker who is known for his ability to score impressive goals, both with his head and with his feet.

He joins new recruits Disan Galiwango (Express FC), Jamil Kalisa (Soltilo Bright Stars), Ibrahim Oriti (Mbarara City) and his former teammate at Busoga United David Bagoole. The four time champions are also closing on Burundian international Cedric Mavugo Titi.
