Eight players of regional league side Hot Springs Football Club have tested positive for Covid-19.
The news was confirmed with few hours to their promotional game against Calvary FC at 2:00pm at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) Hot Springs Football Club Francis Thomas Jamalikiliki has confirmed the news as reported by Drible Sports,
“8 of our players have positive for Covid-19 from the tests carried on Wednesday but since morning no medical attention have been given to them”
“For some reasons I am not contented with the results because our FUFA delegate made some statement on radio which has left many questioning that Calvary might be promoted.”
It remains uncertain as when the game will be played since the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) is yet to release an official communication.
The promotional play offs will continue at 10:00am between Young Elephant and Northern Gateway.
